Signing up for the Foundation or Freedom Dog Programs

There are two different ways you can get started with the Foundation Program.

a) Ready to sign up?  Awesome!  Click on one of the payment options below for the Foundation Program or the Freedom Dog Program.

b) If you would like to chat with us first before enrolling in the Academy, you can schedule a Free Phone Consultation with us. 

Foundation with Online Classroom

Enroll in our Foundation course with longterm access as a training aid and reference.  In addition, you’ll have access for 8 weeks to our Foundation Online Classroom.  Watch our weekly lessons, post your homework assignments for feedback, ask questions about course content and share successes!

In addition our Foundation course has a section specific to puppies!  The Puppies! course covers specific material to raising a puppy such as potty training, crate training, sleeping, schedules, how to deal with mouthing and puppy biting.  Learn how to have a well mannered and well behaved puppy and member of the family! 

Once you have signed up for the Foundation course, you’ll receive a confirmation email that will tell you give you the information and link to our Foundation Online Classroom on Facebook.

Freedom Dog with Online Classroom

Why choose the. Freedom Dog program over Foundation?  Our Freedom Dog course covers everything in our Foundation course plus basic obedience (sit, down, mat) and also more relaxation and behavioral modification techniques.  This course is for ALL dogs but highly recommended for owners who:

*a) have a new puppy or dog and want to take the ultimate course to raise a well behaved, well mannered and happy dog!

*b) have a dog with intense anxiety, human or dog aggression, reactivity and other behavioral issues who want to resolve them.

*c) want to learn conditioned relaxation: a physical massage like technique that helps you dog’s mind relax by relaxing their body

*d) want a dog that is comfortable getting their nails trimmed, being brushed, have their ears cleaned and other grooming activities

*e) have a dog that is nervous, reactive or aggressive at the vet office where it’s difficult and stressful for the dog to get a vet exam, blood draw or vaccinations.

You’ll be enrolled in our Freedom Dog course with longterm access as a training aid and reference.  In addition, you’ll have access for 16 weeks in our Freedom Dog Online classroom on Facebook.  Watch our weekly lessons, post your homework assignments for feedback, ask questions about course content and share successes!

Phone Consultation

A Phone Consultation is a free 30 minute time where we get to know you, your dog(s) and you get to know us.  We want to get to know our clients and their dog personally and are excited to work with you! In the call we will discuss your dog’s history, give information about our training options and methodologies and answer questions that you may have related to achieving your goals with our highly successful for training options!

To begin, you’ll need to make an account or log into your account at our ProPet Software account.  You can find the start page by clicking here or on the button below.

Once you have created an account or logged into your account, you’ll need to book a Phone Consultation.

At the end of the phone consultation you can decide if you want to move forward with:

  • our Freedom Dog Training Academy by enrolling in our Foundation or Freedom Dog Programs. 
  • our Freedom Dog Training Academy by enrolling in our Dream Dog program.  In this case, we’ll schedule an in-person Training Evaluation with you and your dog(s).
  • no additional services at that time but we welcome you back in the future!

Academy Private Lessons

All students enrolled in either the Foundation or Freedom Dog Academy programs are welcome to schedule one on one private lessons for more individualized assistance with their dog(s).  These private lessons can be done virtually online, at our location in Minooka, IL or in your home (within 30 minutes of our location).  Lessons are scheduled and done as a pay as you go system and are 1.5-2 hours long each.  You can request that you would like to schedule a private lesson through your ProPet account and we’ll contact you schedule.  

Private lessons can be used to go over any material in your Foundation or Freedom Dog course.  Our private lessons are setup as reverse lessons.  Meaning you’ve already covered the material in the Foundation or Freedom Dog program and would like additional one on one assistance beyond the Online Classroom.  Private lessons can be scheduled to meet after you have completed week 2 in the either online course. 

Academy Group Classes

In order to provide additionally help for you and your dog, we’ll be holding group classes.  This can be a great opportunity to train your dog at a higher grade school level with other dogs and people around.  Be prepared to train inside or outside as we may train in one or both during class. Class will be at our location in Minooka unless announced otherwise in the Online Classroom Facebook groups.

Before attending your first class with your puppy or dog, you’ll need to have up to date veterinary records (scanned and uploaded) in your ProPet account.

Puppy Class:  This class is open to puppies 8 weeks to 5 months old. You can be enrolled in either the Foundation or Freedom Dog programs to participate in puppy class.  Puppy class is a little different from our other classes in that we focus on training specific to puppies.  Exposure to new things such as a the food ball pit, different surfaces, new people and new dogs.  Also learning when to engage with people and other dogs and when to be neutral and watch the world.  You can begin attending puppy class as soon as you sign up for the Foundation or Freedom Dog programs and have completed week 2.

Foundation Class: This group class is open to puppies and dogs 4 months and older when you are enrolled in the Foundation program. We’ll practice skills learned in the Foundation program with added distractions and supportYou can begin attending the Foundation class as soon as you have completed week 6 of the Foundation program.  This will give you and your dog the leash skills you’ll need to attend class.

Freedom Dog Class:  This group class is open to to puppies and dogs 4 months and older when you are enrolled in the Freedom Dog program.  We’ll practice skills leaned in the Freedom Dog program with added distractions and support.  You can begin attending the Freedom Dog class as soon as you have completed week 6 of the Freedom Dog program

Play & Train: This group class is open to pre-approved clients whose dogs have done both on leash and off leash ecollar training and socialization with us.  We’ll do basics through more advanced training, off leash socials, hikes in the woods, and field trips to work around different distractions.
